1. Overview and controller
Filtrovo is a photography application developed by Andres Jesus Diaz Santos ("Filtrovo," "we," "us," or "our"). For personal data handled through Filtrovo, the developer is the data controller. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to privacy@filtrovo.app.
This policy applies to the Filtrovo mobile app and this website. It does not govern third-party websites or services linked from the app or website.
2. Information Filtrovo handles
Information kept locally in the app
- Photographs captured through the Filtrovo camera and finished Filtrovo results.
- Optional app-private negatives when the corresponding quality setting is enabled.
- Camera choices, color and frame options, favorites, creative streaks, and app settings.
- Technical photo-quality metadata such as dimensions, selected camera, processing time, and capture configuration.
This information is stored on your device using app files and a local database.
Subscription and transaction information
If you view, purchase, or restore Filtrovo Pro, RevenueCat and the applicable app store process an anonymous app user identifier, product and entitlement status, transaction records, receipt or purchase-token data, device type, operating system, app version, and related technical information. Filtrovo does not receive or store your full payment-card details.
Support communications
If you email us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, diagnostic context, and attachments. Do not send original photographs unless they are needed for your support request and you choose to share them.
Website delivery information
This static website is hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub may process standard network and device information, including IP address, browser type, request time, and requested URL, to deliver and secure the website. The Filtrovo website does not set advertising cookies and does not include third-party analytics scripts.
3. How photographs are handled
The primary Filtrovo workflow captures a new photograph with the device camera and renders the selected camera profile on the device. Current camera profiles do not require cloud processing. Filtrovo does not provide a device photo picker or batch import in this release.
- Finished results remain in Filtrovo's local Gallery until you delete them or remove app data.
- You choose whether to save a finished result to the system photo library or share it using the system share sheet.
- An app-private local negative may be retained for quality and re-rendering when enabled. It is not uploaded by Filtrovo.
- Deleting a result or clearing Filtrovo data does not delete copies you already saved or shared outside the app.
Camera concepts labeled "Coming soon" are previews only and cannot process photographs in the current release. This policy will be updated before any future camera introduces materially different processing.
4. Device permissions
- Camera: required to take a new photograph through Filtrovo.
- Photos or media library: used when you explicitly save a finished result to your device.
- Local network: present only in development builds to connect to a local development server; it is not used by the normal production workflow.
You can review or revoke permissions in the operating system's Settings app. Revoking camera access prevents new captures but does not remove existing local Filtrovo results.
5. Purposes and legal bases
We handle information only as needed to:
- provide camera capture, local processing, Gallery, export, sharing, and app settings;
- offer, verify, and restore Filtrovo Pro purchases;
- respond to support, privacy, legal, and security requests;
- protect the app and website against fraud, abuse, or technical failure; and
- comply with applicable law and enforce our terms.
Where applicable, the legal bases are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing Filtrovo, compliance with legal obligations, and consent when the operating system or applicable law requires it.
6. Subscriptions and RevenueCat
RevenueCat provides subscription and entitlement infrastructure for Filtrovo Pro. Filtrovo configures RevenueCat without an email or login and uses RevenueCat's anonymous app user identity. RevenueCat may receive end-user technical and transaction information needed to validate purchases and restore access. RevenueCat acts as a service provider for this purpose.
RevenueCat describes its data practices in its Privacy Policy. Apple or Google separately processes store account, payment, and transaction information under its own terms and privacy policy.
8. Retention and deletion
Local Filtrovo data remains on your device until you delete individual results, use the in-app data deletion control, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. Operating-system backups may retain app data according to your device and cloud-backup settings.
Support correspondence is retained only as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain security and business records, and meet legal obligations. Subscription transaction information is retained by RevenueCat and the app store according to their contractual, fraud-prevention, accounting, and legal obligations.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding personal data we control, and to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.
- Use Filtrovo Settings to delete local app data.
- Use operating-system Settings to manage camera and photo-library permissions.
- Use App Store or Google Play subscription settings to manage a subscription.
- Email privacy@filtrovo.app for a privacy request.
We may need to verify a request and may retain information where an applicable legal exception requires or permits it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
10. International processing
Service providers may process transaction, support, or website-delivery information outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on contractual and legal safeguards for international transfers. Photographs processed locally by current Filtrovo cameras are not transferred to Filtrovo for processing.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Keep your device and operating-system account protected, and avoid sharing sensitive material through support unless necessary.
12. Children
Filtrovo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data through support, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate. Local photographs remain under the control of the device owner.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Filtrovo's features, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date above will identify the current version. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on this website when appropriate.
